Blog 15 – Ahhhh….Thieves Household Cleaner – for EVERYTHING!!!

THIEVES HOUSEHOLD CLEANER – Maybe you’ve tried my Thieves Cleaning Spray (that I make and sell on my facebook business page). Maybe you’ve realized that it cleans more safely than – and just as effectively (BETTER) than – your typical household cleaners (Lysol, Clorox, Windex, etc.) and you’re ready to toss the toxins in the trash! GOOD FOR YOU! But wait, it’s not only about being a more healthy option for you, your family, and your pets…using Thieves Household Cleaner is actually more cost efficient in the long run!

First, have you ever really done a search on all the health issues associated with using your typical household cleaning products and the effects they have on our body’s systems? When Beth Greer (the author of “Super Natural Home) did her research, she was shocked to learn that there is no federal regulation of chemicals in household products. Rebecca Sutton, PhD, a senior scientist at the Environmental Working Group (EWG), explains, “In terms of household cleaners, neither ingredients, nor products must meet any sort of safety standard, nor is any testing data or notification required before bringing a product to market.” Got Netflix? Watch the movie called Stink; you’ll quickly learn how our country’s FDA regulations really don’t enforce testing on our household cleaning and personal care products for safety.

The average household contains about 62 toxic chemicals, say environmental experts. We’re exposed to them routinely — from the phthalates in synthetic fragrances to the noxious fumes in oven cleaners. Ingredients in common household products have been linked to asthma, cancer, reproductive disorders, hormone disruption, and neurotoxicity…to name a few.

The list of toxins in products we trust could go on and on! What we do know is that they cause all kinds of ailments, illnesses…and even cancer! It’s scary to think I spent my entire life thinking nothing of cleaning with all of that – even when bleach or Lysol would make me feel sick to my stomach and/or cause me to get headaches afterward! When I did my own research, I immediately started making my own DIY cleaning products, which is fine, but not everyone else has the time or desire to do that. That’s why – when I found Young Living and then heard about their Thieves Household Cleaner, I knew I had hit the jackpot…but for more reasons than I can possibly explain here!

If you don’t know much about Thieves (or the essential oils that make up the blend), read my “ALL ABOUT THIEVES HOUSEHOLD CLEANER” post. The story behind the blend is pretty interesting in that it connects to how people/doctors were able to avoid contracting the Bubonic Plague! Check it out, if you can. Regardless, the single oils contained in the actual Thieves Essential Oil Blend (Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary) have numerous properties that make it highly antiviral and antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-infectious, anti-parasitic,anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antispasmodic…and more! And, drum roll, please…it’s a super powerful immune stimulant! Yes! You clean your house with it and the essential oil molecules that fill the air (the smallest molecules on Earth – known to man) are actually healthy for you – not harmful! Score!!!

Now…what about the price of Thieves Household Cleaner compared to what you’re using now? Because it comes in a super concentrated solution, this cleaner goes a very LONG way!

You would typically get Clorox spray – or something similar – for about $2.99 at Target (for a 32 oz bottle).

Thieves is $28.95 (or $22.00 if you’re a wholesale member, which is definitely recommended) for a 14.4 fl oz. bottle of concentrated solution.

You use a capful of Thieves Household Cleaner solution and about 2 cups of water to make one 16 oz. bottle. To make a bottle equivalent to 32 oz, you would use 2 capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner and about 4 cups of water.

According to Young Living, there are 60-65 capfuls of Thieves Household Cleaner in their 14.4 oz. bottle (they also sell it in bulk size 64 oz. – which is what I buy).

Sooo…I could make THIRTY 32 oz bottles of Thieves Cleaner for $24.34 (this includes your tax if you become a wholesale member).

THIRTY bottles of Clorox Cleaner for $89.70! Ummm…this is clearly a no-brainer!

And yes, it cleans mirrors and windows with no streaks (some people add a bit of vinegar for this)! Talk about all purpose. It’ll do your counter tops, surfaces, floors, sinks, toilets, stoves, and tubs. Just sprinkle a little baking soda or Diatomaceous Earth after you spray those surfaces and then scrub with a plastic netting material…and wallah! Your stove and tub will sparkle!

You really can’t go wrong here. Although I don’t take the orders for Young Living products, myself (that’s not how it works), I can certainly help you become a wholesale member (just click here), so you can receive the 24% discount on everything!
